Health and Wellness

The Health, Safety and Welfare of the campers are of utmost concern. The medical needs of our campers are attended to by registered nurses in a fully equipped infirmary building. Our medical staff reside on camp and are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also have a visiting doctor that comes to camp 3 days a week. A state of the art, modern hospital is located just fifteen minutes away.

Laundry

Clean clothes...happy campers. Laundry day is once each week. Your child’s clothing is washed, dried and folded by our laundry staff and returned to your child the same day. Camp Louemma also provides blankets and pillows to every camper.

Canteen

Our Camp Store or Canteen, located in our Recreation Building, is a place where campers go, usually once a day, to purchase a “treat” such as a candy bar, ice cream, or soda, in addition to other items that they may have left at home or want to purchase. Some of the items that are sold are flashlights and batteries, film, disposable cameras, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, stamps, and novelty items. Canteen is optional. The suggested amount to send with your child is approximately $100 per session.
