Hal and Arlene Pugach have had a lifelong affiliation with Camp Louemma. Arlene spent many summers as a camper at Camp Louemma and met Hal while the two were staff members in the 1970’s. After taking time off to marry and start a family, they returned to the camp in the early 1990’s and became Directors in 1996.
They have two children, Brandon and Brett, who have attended camp since 1993. Both native New Yorkers, Hal has a B.A. degree from The University of New York at Brooklyn College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia. He is also a member of the New Jersey Bar Association. Arlene has a B.A. in Elementary Education from The City University of New York at Queens College and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. With warmth and friendliness they provide a caring, nurturing atmosphere that enables each camper to feel secure and comfortable while they are away from home.
